Print out the convert log report and follow the steps outlined in that report to set your Sage Line 50 program ready for use.

All of the Customer Statement preferences such as grouping transactions, or showing individual items are now included in the Statement Layout in your new Sage Line 50 program. Find the Customer Statement layout that you require from the range of default layouts available.
For example, do you need to print Statements with a Remittance Advice, showing only outstanding items or do you want all items to appear, or do you want to print your Statements on A4 or 11" stationery.
To find the Statement Layout you want to use
From the Customers window, select a customer then choose the Statements option. The Customer Statements window appears.
From the list of Statements displayed select the one you want then select the Print option from the Output area.
Click Run to continue. When the Statement Criteria window appears, enter one of your customer account references and then click OK.
If the information that is printed on this statement is what you want then this is the statement layout you need. The next time you choose the Statements option this layout will be automatically highlighted.
If the information is not what you want select another statement layout from the list and print out one statement again.

Check that all the Company Preferences parameters, such as End of Report Banner, Item VAT Amendable, Non-Vatable Tax Code etc., are set up how you want them. To do this choose the Company Preferences option from the Settings menu and then choose the Parameters tab dialog to enter or amend these settings. For details see To Enter Your Parameter Defaults.

If you do not have any Direct Expense categories in your Profit and Loss Report set these up now.
The Gross Profit/Loss is classed as a footnote of the Direct Expenses section of the Profit and Loss, therefore, you must include valid descriptions and nominal codes in the Direct Expenses section of this report to print out the correct Gross Profit/Loss value.

The last five categories of your Current Assets and Current Liabilities in your layout of accounts are placed in categories 46 - 50 in the new Balance Sheet layout in your new program. Check these now to make sure they are correct.

Take a backup using the automatic facility within the program, either by choosing the Backup option from the Data menu, or by selecting Exit from the File menu.
